This calculator determines your net surface area, subtracts openings like windows and doors, and adds a waste factor to ensure you have enough material for overlaps and cuts.

For gabled walls, calculate the area using (Base × Peak Height) / 2 and add it to your rectangle total.
Add a 15% waste factor if your home has many corners, dormers, or complicated architectural details.
