About this calculator
Overview
Wood weight depends heavily on the species and moisture content. 'Green' wood (freshly cut) is much heavier than kiln-dried wood. This calculator assumes standard air-dried/kiln-dried densities unless 'Green' is specified.

Pro Tips
Always check if your lumber is 'Green' or 'Dry'. Green lumber can weigh 2x as much.
In the metric system, wood volume is usually measured in m³ and weight in kg.
