Pro Tips

Reaction rates (R1 and R2) can be any consistent measure of speed, such as oxygen consumption, heart rate, or enzymatic velocity.
T1 and T2 must be in Celsius or Kelvin. The formula depends on the difference, not absolute value.
Most biological systems have a Q10 between 2 and 3. Physical processes like diffusion have a lower Q10 (around 1.1 - 1.3).
Temperature-sensitive enzymes can show extremely high Q10 values shortly before they denature at high temperatures.
