Degrees and Radians are two different units for measuring angles. A degree (°) is 1/360th of a full circle. A radian (rad) is the angle subtended at the center of a circle by an arc whose length is equal to the radius. Most scientific and calculus equations prefer radians because they simplify derivative calculations.
