Degrees and radians are two units for measuring angles. A degree is 1/360th of a full rotation. A radian is the angle formed when the arc length is equal to the radius of the circle. One full rotation is 360° or 2π radians. Scientists and engineers prefer radians because they simplify many mathematical formulas, especially in calculus.
